Frank E. Peabody, 81, died suddenly Monday, March 11 from a heart attack at his 
home, 321 East Washington street.

He was born October 9, 1864, in Ionia county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Griffen 
Peabody, and lived his entire life in the county.  He retired from farming in 
1918 and moved to Ionia where he devoted part of his time to building and real 
estate activities.  He was a member of the Ionia Masonic lodge No. 26 F&AM and 
Queen Esther chapter No. 35, Eastern Star.  Mr. and Mrs. Peabody celebrated 
their golden wedding anniversary November 6, 1944.

He is survived by the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence S. Johnson and Mrs. 
Russell Voelker of Ionia; a son, Raymond, of Ionia; seven grandchildren, and a 
brother, Ran?? Peabody, of Grand Rapids.

Funeral services will be held from the Boynton funeral home Thursday March 14, 
at 2:30 o’clock with the Rev. Frederick Dunbar of Grand Rapids officiating and 
the Masonic service in charge of Ionia lodge No. 26 F&AM.  Interment will be at 
Highland Park cemetery.
