Peacock was born Feb. 14, 1860; Departed this life Oct. 15, 1918, aged 58 years, 8 months and 1 day. He was born in Randolph county, Indiana, and came to Sebewa, Mich., with his parents in Sept. 1865, being then five years of age and has lived in this immediate vicinity since. He was married to Eunice Lindley, July 1, 1891. To this union were born seven children. Mrs. Luella Cook of Montana; Leander, now in France; Elwood, Leona, Albert, Leroy and Walter at home with the exception of Leroy who died in 1907 at 4 years of age. Besides the wife and children there are two grandchildren, also four brothers and two sisters, viz: Arthur of Wakeeney, Kansas, John and Jason of Odessa, Henry of Montana, Mrs. Thursa Goodemont of Sebewa and Mrs. Anna Steiner of Montana. He was stricken with intense pain on Saturday. A physician was called and the pain relieved. He was not thought to be seriously ill until Tuesday morning he was again stricken with intense suffering. A council of doctors was called and his case pronounced hopeless, the end coming at six o’clock in the evening.
