Leaves a Sorrowing Husband and Parents and a Dear Little Girl. Every one was surprised and pained to hear of the death of Eliza Klingman Peacock last Friday when the word came she had passed away Thursday evening, following an operation in the forenoon. She rallied from the operation even talking with her family but towards evening the heart gave out and she died. She was an attendant at the M. E. Sunday School of Lake Odessa as a child and young woman and as often as she felt she could after her marriage. She was a splendid home maker, always enthusiastic in her home requirements and interests. Besides her devoted husband and little three year old Helen she leaves her sorrowing parents as she was an only child. All have the sympathy of many friends. Obituary Eliza Ellen Klingman Peacock, only child of John and Maria Klingman, was born in Gaines Township, Kent County on November 23rd 1899. At the age of five months she came with her parents to Odessa Township where she passed away on August 13, 1925 at the age of twenty-five years, eight months and twenty days. To this union was born one daughter, Helen Ilene, aged three years. She was educated at the Lake Odessa Schools and McLaughlin Business University of Grand Rapids. She was of a quiet and retiring nature, a kind and loving daughter, wife and mother. Her first thoughts were always for home and family. She will be greatly missed by the family, neighbors and friends. She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, little Helen and her parents, besides a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted in the home on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock by Rev. J. E. Cook and she was laid to rest in the Lake Side Cemetery.
