Peacock Passes Away Albert E.Peacock, 60, route 3 of Ionia, passed away unexpectedly at his home Monday. He was an employee of the C & O Railroad for 37 years and was an engineer on the Grand Rapids to Detroit run. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Mr. Peacock was a native of Ionia County and a lifelong resident of the area. Surviving are his wife, the former Emma Pickens; five sons, five daughters; three brothers, Leander and Elwood of Lake Odessa and Walter of Grand Rapids; two sisters, Mrs.Fred Van Zee of South Lansing, N.Y., and Mrs Charles Bouse of Big Timber, Mont., and ten grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Friday 2 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home at Ionia with burial in Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa. Rev.Ray R. Fassett of the Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church officiated.
