EMMA CHRISTINE (CHRISTENSEN) PEACOCK

Died December 24, 2011 age 97 at Maplewood of Sandy Creek in Wayland, MI.
Born March 17, 1914 at Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Niels"Nels" & Ellen 
Marie "Mary" (Jensen) Christensen.
Her childhood days were spent in Trufant, MI & graduated from Ionia High School 
in 1931.
Emma raised her family in Ionia, later moved to Kalamazoo where she worked at 
Gilmore Brothers as an auditor.
Emma retired in 1983 as office manager & bookkeeper from the Allegan County 
Resource Development Committee,Inc.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, dancing, baking & a good card game or Yahtzee.
Surviving are her children & step-children;Terry (Jill) Pickens, Mary Besson, 
Walt(Judy) Peacock,Bob (JoAnne) Pickens, Linda (Gary) Shimmel, Sandy Gilliland, 
Art(Nancy) Peacock, Al(Shirley) Peacock, grandchildren & other family members.
Preceded in death by her husbands;Tom "T.J." Pickens & Albert"Joe" Peacock, 
daughter, Betty Beck; a grandson, Robert"Bob" Peacock; her son-in-law, Hans & 
Carmen(Gladding) Christensen & nephew, Wesley Christensen.
Cremation has taken place & family memorial will be held on a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn Street, 
Suita A, Allegan, Mich.
Arrangements by Gorden Fuenral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
