The Portland Observer, Tuesday, June 4, 1872
Mr. Alonzo Peak died at his residence in Danby at five o’clock yesterday, 
after a brief illness.  The disease with which he has thus been so suddenly 
stricken down in the prime of life was the spinal complaint, so prevalent in 
nearly all parts of the State this season.  

The funeral services will be held at the Universalist Church at two o’clock 
this afternoon.
