The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, September 29, 1930

The funeral services for Webster W. Peake, 73, formerly of Portland, were held 
from the Methodist Episcopal church Saturday afternoon with Rev. J. H. Stewart 
in charge.  Mr. Peake died at his home in Laingsburg following a three weeks’ 
illness.  He had engaged in farming at different intervals and had been in 
business in Lansing and East Lansing.  Surviving are his widow; a brother, 
Charles Peake, and a sister, Nora Peake, both of Portland.
