Excerpts From Obituary
James Vaughn Peake of Portland
Died September 9, 2020-age 62 at home in Portland.
Born July 7, 1958 in Lansing son of Vaughn and Catherine (Schoettl) Peake.
Graduated from Grand Ledge High School in class of 1976.
Worked for the Parish Co. as a heavy equipment operator.
Jim became an instructor at ALS teaching heavy equipment operation.
He enjoyed car shows, fishing and traveling.
Survived by his wife of 37 years, Karol (Monroe); daughter, Jennifer (Rick) 
Martin; sisters, Dawn (Bill) Sherman, Pat (Denny) Schartzer, Gail Van Alphen, 
Sue (Dale) Harlow, Karen (Wil) Linley; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by a son, Ryan on June 5, 2019.
Funeral service will be Monday, September 14, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Holihan-
Atkin-Barley Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with Pastor Roy Atherton officiating.
Visitation Monday 11-1:00 PM.
Memorial contributions may go to Capital Area Humane Society.
Interment at Pioneer Cemetery, Grand Ledge, Michigan.
