Mrs. Pearl was born Oct. 27, 1938 in Lake Odessa, a daughter of Andrew W. and Leta E. (Merryfield) Parker. She was a 1957 graduate of Grand Ledge High School, a member of the Grand Ledge Church of the Nazarene and was active in the Sunfield Historical Society. Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Parker, and an infant daughter, Elizabeth Ellen. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Richard; four daughters, Teresa (Ted) Worthington of Mulliken, Loretta (Alan) Emmons of Woodland, Mardelle Emery of Vermontville and Richelle (Steve) Martzke of Sunfield; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; her mother, Leta (Donald) Collier of Mulliken; sister, Ruth Ann (George) Mellios of Mulliken; aunt, Bethel Meister of Alaska; uncle, Keith (Reva) Merryfield of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were held Oct. 16 at Grand Ledge Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Richard Hand officiating. Interment was in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeremy Emery, Jim Lowder, Reid and Steve Martzke, Jeff Messenger and Ted Worthington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Ledge Church of the Nazarene.
