Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Sat. July 30, 1988


SARANAC – Irene V. Pearson, 70, of Saranac died Thursday at Ionia County 
Memorial Hospital.

The daughter of Albert and Lillian Bennett Werner, she was born Jan. 2, 1918, 
in Matherton.

She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Saranac.

Surviving are two brothers, Richard Werner of Ionia and Alvin Werner of Coloma; 
three sisters, Virginia Bennett of Belding, Betty Ackley of Six Lakes and Mrs. 
Darwin (Wilma) Miller of Ionia, and several nieces and nephews. She was 
preceded in death by her husband Charles, a brother, Donald, and a sister, 
Marie.

Funeral mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Monday from St. Anthony’s Church, 
Saranac, with the Rev. Eugene Alvesteffer officiating. 

Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Six Lakes.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday from the Main Street Chapel, Myers 
Memorial Chapel, 148 East Main Street.
