Her death occurred after a long illness. Her husband, Ransome S. Peasley, died in 1919. For many years he was in the employ of the Pere Marquette shops. She is survived by four children, Clarence Peasley, at home; Mrs. Ernest Barnard, of Orange; Mrs. Ernest Bemis and Mrs. August Dreger, of Ionia. The funeral will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon. Subsequent Publication: Thursday, August 25, 1927 The funeral for Mrs. Rachel Peasley was attended from the home on US-16 Wednesday afternoon at 1:30. Rev. Charles E. Thies, of the LeValley Methodist Episcopal church, officiated at the service. The musical numbers were furnished by Mrs. Ray Colwell and Mrs. Claude E. Hathaway. The bearers were Ira Evans, Nelson Bell, August Dreger, Sam Sage, Vern Payne, Ernie Barnard, George Kenter, and Allie Evangs. Burial was made in Highland Park cemetery.
