L. Peck died Thursday night at 6:10. He was born in Massachusetts May 28, 1843. At the age of 22 he came to Hubbardston to keep books for the Hubbardston Lumber company. He spent one year in Flint as a lumber inspector. For fifty-six years he has lived in Hubbardston as a God fearing citizen and an example to all. In 1869 he was united in marriage to Fanny J. Colby. To this marriage four children were born: Mrs. B. J. Howard of Washington, D. C., and Miss Iva Peck, Ira J. Peck and Harry Peck of Hubbardston. The latter recently underwent an operation. He is with relatives at Plymouth and was not able to attend the funeral, which was held from the residence Monday afternoon at one o’clock. All the children and his widow survive.
