Dorothy D. Peck, 90, of Greenville, passed away Thursday morning, June 9, 2005,
at her home.  She was born Sept. 18, 1914, in Ionia, the daughter of Walter G.
and Maggie B. Quigley Davenport.  Dorothy was a member of VFW Post 3794 Ladies
Auxiliary and was a member of First Church of God, Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Laura Davenport;
sister, Clara Church; and brothers Frank, Ralph and Royal Davenport.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John H.; daughter, Doris Gillis of
Grand Rapids; four grandchildren, Audrey Gillis of Florida, Teresa Gillis of
Texas, Monica and Paul Smith of Trufant, Jane Gillis of Greenville; nine
great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Emerson
and Rosemary Peck of Mesa, Ariz., Victor and Doris Peck of Anaheim, Calif.;
sister-in-law, Bernice Taylor of Cedar Springs; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral and committal services are 11 a.m. Monday at First Church of God,
Greenville, Burial is in Trufant Cemetery.  Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to
8:30 p.m. Sunday at Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville.  Memorial contributions
may be made in Dorothy’s name to First Church of God.
