Lake Odessa Wave - Times - February 9, 1912
          OBITUARY.

   Esther C. Lane was born at Spring Lake, Ottawa Co., Mich., Aug. 27, 1853 and died
at the home of her 
daughter Mrs. A. B. Usborne in Lake Odessa, Feb. 5, 1912, after a protracted
illness. Dec. 31, 1870 she was 
united in marriage with Francis L. Peck and to this union two children were born a
son and daughter Mr. 
Claude F. Peck now of Denver, Colo, and Mrs. A. B. Usborne of this place.

   The deceased was a kindly, affectionate wife and mother and endeared herself to
all whith whom she 
became acquainted. She has made her home here most of the time since the death of
her husband seven 
years ago in Detroit, visiting her son in Denver occasionally, as health would
permit.

   The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the house conducted by
Revs. Prestidge and 
Laity and interment was made in Lakeside cemetery.
