Peckins, 77, died at his home in Lyons at 10 p.m., October 18. Death was sudden although Mr. Peckins was ailing for over a year. He leaves a widow, Mrs. Addie Burriss Peckins; two nephews, Edward Peckins of Portland and Francis Peckins of Lyons; two nieces, Mrs. H. C. Ranger of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Miss Caroline Peckins of Ionia. Mr. Peckins was born in Westenaw county on May 11, 1861. He married the former Addie Burriss on June 17, 1891. At the time of his death he was a retired farmer. He was a Mason and prominent in the Lyons F. and A. M. No. 37. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 2 p.m. Saturday with Masonic rites.
