The Belding Banner, Thursday, February 22, 1900

The death of William Stewart Peebles, son of Mrs. J. J. Peebles, formerly of 
this city, and brother of Robt. Peebles, occurred Saturday morning at the 
family home, 27 Commerce street, Grand Rapids.  He had been sick about four 
weeks but was only confined to the bed eight days, spinal meningitis being 
pronounced the cause of death.  He was 17 years and 2 days old.  Funeral 
services were held in Grand Rapids, the burial taking place at Greenville.  
There are several brothers and sisters besides the widowed mother left to 
mourn his loss.
