She had been in poor health for about three years. Her age was 67 years, 3 months and one day. Her maiden name was Victoria V. Crane, and she was born in Oakland county, this state. She was married to Philander Peer in 1856, and they came to this county in 1859, settling in Berlin township, two miles south of the Center. They moved to this city 15 years ago, where they have since resided, enjoying the confidence, respect and esteem of citizens to an unusual degree. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons: Charles M., of Holly, and William C., the well-known dry goods merchant of this city. Funeral from family residence, 372 State street, on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.; services by Rev. Wm. Brooks Taylor, assisted by Rev. W.H. Scott.
