          FORMER RESIDENT DIES AT LANSING
   Edward t. Peets, 96, of Lansing, a former Lake Odessa area resident passed away
Sunday at the Lansing General Hospital.
   He was born July 2, 1879 in Ionia County and had been a resident of Lansing since
1918.  Mr. Peets was a member of the St. Casimir Church and was formerly employed by 
the Citizens Telephone Company, the Michigan Bell Company and later at the Oldsmobile 
plant as a machinist, retiring in 1944.
   Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Florence R. Jenny of Lansing;  nieces and
nephews.
   Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11:30 at the Gorsline-Runciman Lansing
Chapel with burial in Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa.
   Keith Chrisopherson, Gladys Hall of Sunfield and Kathryn Gardiner attended the
services.
