Lenore E. Peirce, age 92, of Lake Odessa, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at her
residence.  She was born February 12, 1920 in Campbell Township, the daughter of
Elmer and Laura (Black) Shellenbarger.  She graduated from Lake Odessa High School
in 1936 and married Bradley H. Peirce on January 6, 1945.  He preceded her in death
on August 25, 1981.

Lenore worked at AC Spark Plug in Ionia during World War II and then at West
Elementary School in Lake Odessa as a cook for 39 years.  She was a member of Sebewa
Church of God for 56 years and was dedicated to her Lord and served Him faithfully. 
Lenore loved everyone and everyone loved her.

Lenore was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bradley; sister, Louise
Pennington; brother, Donald Shellenbarger.  Surviving is her son, Norwin (Ruth)
Peirce of Grand Rapids; sisters, Janet Mouser of Lake Odessa and Lucy (Ray) Foust of
Grand Blanc; sister-in-law, June Shellenbargr of Lake Odessa; numerous nieces and
nephews; great and great great nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, May 21 at
Koops Funeral Chapel - Lake Odessa.  Funeral services for Lenore will be conducted
at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Central United Methodist Church, 912 Fourth
Avenue, Lake Odessa.  Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa. 
Memorial contributions in Lenore’s name may be directed to the Sebewa Church of God,
12910 Goddard Road, Lake Odessa, MI 48849.
