The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, date unknown
Zelpha “Red” F. Peirce, 96, of Ionia formerly of Hartford, passed away on 
Thursday, January 8, 2004.  She was born on March 29, 1907 in Benton Harbor 
the daughter of Thomas and Bertha Green.  

She was married to Leonard Peirce for 60 years and he preceded her in death.  
She  as also loved and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She 
was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Peirce.

Surviving are her daughter, Nancy (Fred) Haight of Ionia; two granddaughters, 
Robin  (John) Robinson of Chelsea and Wendy Haight of Saginaw; great-
granddaughter, Erin Robins; great-grandson, Matt Robinson.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.  For those desiring, memorial 
contributions may be made to the Ionia County Animal Shelter or the Ionia Area 
Hospice in memory of Mrs.. Zelpha “Red” F. Peirce.  Arrangements are entrusted 
to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Cook Chapel, Ionia.
