The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, December 9, 1974
Portland – William E. Pendergrass, 28, of 511 Lincoln died Sunday of a heart 
condition at St. Lawrence hospital in Lansing.  Born January 8, 1946, in 
Lansing, he was the son of Harman and Earlina Fish Pendergrass.  He was a 
veteran of the Vietnam War.  

Surviving are his wife, the former Ann Lindsley; son, Corey William, and 
daughter, Stacy; father, Harman Pendergrass of Byron Center, and mother, 
Earlina Pendergrass of Washington state; foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford 
Conklin of Dowling; two brothers, Robert and Ronald of Grand Rapids, and 
sister, Mrs. Linda Bekkering of Byron Center; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. 
Clarence Fish of Eagle.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by the 
Neller funeral home in Portland.

Subsequent Publication:  Tuesday, December 10, 1974

Funeral services for William E. Pendergrass, 28, of 511 Lincoln, Portland, 
will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Neller funeral home in Portland.  Rev. 
Ronald Lahr of the Portland Congregational church will officiate and interment 
will be at the Portland cemetery.  

Mr. Pendergrass died Sunday of a heart condition at St. Lawrence hospital in 
Lansing.  

Bearers will be Dale Randall, Larry Randall, Tony Bennett, Gary Graft, Michael 
Judd and Michael Brown.
