Aileen I. Pennington, 67, of Ionia died at her residence early Saturday morning.
 She was born in Lyons March 19, 1930, the daughter of Charles J. (Helen A.
Cunningham) Voorheis.  She married Robert Pennington Aug. 6, 1948 in Woodland
who preceded her in death June 14, 1989.

She is survived by one son, Earl (Debi) Pennington of Ionia; two brothers, Paul
H. Voorheis of Saranac and Everett (Margaret) Voorheis of Ionia; one sister,
Evelyn Lemke of Bangor; four grandchildren, Rebekah, Jonathan, Pamela and
Ashley; and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by three infant
sons, a brother and a sister.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday Dec. 30 at 1 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home
Saranac with Pastor Jack Stamper officiating, with interment at the Saranac
Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and relatives two hours before the
funeral service.
