The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, November 20, 1987

Erdie L. Penrod, 92, of Ionia died Wednesday at her daughter’s home.  Born May 
23, 1894, in Edon, Ohio, she was the daughter of Conrad and Flora (Lint) 
Decker.  She was a member of the Ionia Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Nedra) Quick of Madison, Ohio, Mrs. 
Wayne (Helen) Hopkins of Sebring, Fla., Vera Renicker of Maryland, Mrs. Robert 
(Mary) Collar of Ionia, and Mrs. J. Paul (Laura) Chapin Jr. of Paris, France; 
one son, John Penrod of Berrien Center; 16 grandchildren, 24 great 
grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday from the Rich Street Chapel of 
Cook Funeral Home, with her son-in-law, the Rev. Robert Collar officiating.  
Burial will be in Madison, Ohio.  The family will be at the funeral home 
Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
