Ionia Sentinel Standard-Saturday March 6, 1976

                              SHIRLEY PEPPEL

A former Ionia public school teacher, Mrs.Shirley Peppel, 51, died Wednesday.

She was born September 25, 1924, and was a resident of the Lansing area 14 years 
after teaching int he Ionia Schools.Her husband Albert Peppel was a band 
instructor in the Ionia Schools.

Surviving beside the husband, Albert, are a son, Paul of East Lansing; parents, 
Mr.and Mrs.Neal Bestervelt of Kalamazoo and three sisters.

Memorial services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p at the Okemos Community 
Church.

A memorial has been established to be given to the charity of the donors choice.
