January 21, 2017 WANDA J. PEPPER Clarksville, MI - Wanda J. Pepper, age 84, a longtime resident of Clarksville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday January 13, 2017. Wanda was born on June 30, 1932 on the family farm to William and Thelma (Catlin) Piercefield. She was a graduate of Lake Odessa high School and on August 6, 1950, Wanda married Leo Pepper, Jr., the love of her life, who preceded her in death. With unwavering faith, Wanda loved her Lord Jesus christ, her family, and others with genuine unselfish love. She brought joy to others because she was full of joy. Her generous spirit was known throughout the community. Wanda was a very active member of the Clarksville Bible Church for many years, where she taught Sunday School along with many other ministries. Wanda and Leo especially enjoyed working with the church summer camp program as counselors, cooks, teachers or any other staff positIon that was needed. She was a homemaker and an excellent seamstress and taught sewing classes to all ages for most of her adult life. Wanda will be dearly missed by her children, Joel (Gail) Pepper Gloria (Barry) Smith, Linda (Steve) Hamlet and Dr. Larry (Sally) Pepper, along with 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, many other family member and friends. Preceding Wanda in death were her parents; several siblings; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 at the Clarksville Bible Church, 191 S. Main St., Clarksville, MI 48815. Interment will be private at the Clarksville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the International Mission Board, P.O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA 23230-0761, ear- marked "For the mission work of Dr. Larry and Sally Pepper in Tanzania, Africa."
