The Ionia Standard, Friday, April 4, 1890

Mrs. Mary Perce the venerable mother of Freeman F. Perce, 84 years of age, 
died on Sunday at Portland, at the residence of her son.  Mrs. Perce has been 
a resident of Michigan more than 57 years.  She was one of the old pioneers, 
living here when the state was yet a territory.
