April 29, 2007 Georgianna J. Perkins, 74, of Marion, N.C., died April 12, 2007, in Nebo, N.C. following a stroke. Mrs. Perkins was born May 13, 1932 in Sebewa Township, a daughter of W. Wallace and Beatrice E. (Hale) Hollenback. She was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and met her husband, Paul, while in the service. Paul died in 1991. Surviving are her daughter, Sue (Ken) Stemler of Sunfield; two sons, Robert (Julie) Perkins of Remus and David (Tracy) Perkins of Grand Ledge; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Carrie Clinkscales of Lansing, Roberta (Gary) Brickley of Sunfield, Carole (Stan) Thelen of Portland and Jama (Bruce) Priser of Lake Odessa; her brother, Daryl (JoAnn) Hollenback of Sunfield; her uncle, Irvin Smith of Evart; numerous nieces and nephews. Services were held April 17 at Baker-Leik Funeral Home, Mulliken, with Pastor Don Woolum officiating. Interment was in Danby Cemetery. Military honors were provided by the Portland V.F.W. Post. Pallbearers were Dustin, Jacob, Jeremi and Joshua Perkins; Ivo Shaw and Cody Stemler.
