Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Wed. May 17, 1967


Martha Perkins, 65, died Monday at Ionia County Memorial hospital. She had been 
a patient at an Ionia nursing home several months.

She was born April 12, 1902 at Westphalia the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony 
Pung.

For many years she was active in Midland Rebecca lodge of which she was a life 
member and was a former member of Midland VFW Auxiliary.

Following the retirement of her husband, Myron, they lived at Townline Lake 
near Lakeview. He died in October 1966.

Surviving are two sons, Bert Fitch of Lyons and Jack Fitch of Jacksonville, 
Ore.; brother, Judson Walter of Midland, five sisters, Mrs. Mary Daron of 
Niles, Mrs. Lena Benedict of Lyons, Mrs. Esther Zimmer of Muir, Mrs. Estella 
Fedewa of Lansing, Mrs. Irene Edgington of Des Moines, Iowa; five grandchildren 
and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Stebbins funeral 
home at Stanton. Burial will be in McBride cemetery.
