Perkins passed way Monday evening at her home here at the age of 77 years. Mr and Mrs Perkins and family came to Lake Odessa about 40 years ago, Mr Perkins in the employ of the Pere Marquette railroad company and their children Russell, Warren, Rex, Marion and Enid attended the school here. Mrs. Perkins was a graduate of Ypsilanti Teachers' college and a teacher before her marriage. She and her husband were members of the Methodist church and she served as president of the Lake Odessa Woman's club, 12924-1925. She also was a member of the local chapter Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are the husband Dean R. Perkins, sons, Russell at Newaygo, Warren at Plymouth and Rex in Lake Odessa and daughters Mrs. Alton Klahn, Lake Odessa, and Mrs. Frank Morse in Ionia. The funeral was held from the late home this Thursday, morning at 10 with the Rev. Floyd H. Cramer of Grand Rapids officiating and burial will be in the family lot at South Lyon.
