He had been ill for some time and was a patient at Ingham county sanatorium, at intervals for the past two years. Born October 6, 1908 at Salem and at five yeas of age, he moved to Lake Odessa with his parents, where he attended grade school and high School. For several years, he was employed as a projectionist at the theater, now known as the Lake Theater and was later employed by the Lake Odessa post office as a substitute rural mail carrier. He operated a mail carrier service between Lake Odessa and Woodland for several years and was lately employed by Fischer Body of Lansing. Surviving are his father, Dean R. Perkins of Daytona Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Alton Klahn of Lake Odessa, and Mrs. Frank R. Morse of Ionia; two brothers, Russell Perkins of Cedar Springs and Warren Perkins of Plymouth. The body will be at the Gorsline-Runciman funeral chapel in Lansing and funeral services will be held at the West Salem church, Salem, Saturday afternoon, May 19 at 1 o'clock. Interment will be at Walker Cemetery, Salem.
