The Ionia County News, Thursday, November 27, 1947
Mrs. Addie Perkins, 82, died early Sunday morning, Nov. 23, at her home, 217 
Pleasant St., after a long period of ill health.

Mrs. Perkins, the former Addie Besley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Besley, 
was born July 25, 1865, in Greenbush township, Clinton County.  In July, 1988, 
she was united in marriage with A. D. Perkins and came to Ionia where she had 
lived for 60 years.   Mr. Perkins died 20 years ago, November 29, 1927.

Rev. Dwight M. Kitch officiated at the funeral service, held Tuesday afternoon 
from Boynton’s.  Burial was in Eureka cemetery in Clinton county.  Pall 
bearers were Franklin Hunt, Viggo Nielsen, Joseph Waidelich and Fred Hubbard.
