Lake Odessa Wave Wednesday June 19, 1958

MINA PERKINS DIED MONDAY

Mrs.Mina Perkins, former local resident and restaurant owner, passed away Monday 
at Allegan where she has lived for a number of years. She spent the winters 
there and returned here for the summers until selling her home several years 
ago. 

Mrs. Perkins reposed at the Gordon funeral home at Allegan before being brought 
here Wednesday to the Pickens funeral chapel where funeral services will be held 
at 2:00 p.m. Thursday with burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev.Vernon Beardsley 
will officiate.  

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs.Pauline Weipert of Allegan, one son Merlin of 
San Jose, California; two grandchildren and one sister, Mrs.Minnie Troub of 
Sunfield. her husband Josiah passed away in 1917 while they were living on a 
farm northwest of town.
