                                DEWEY A.PERKINS

LAKE ODESSA - Dewey A. Perkins, 82, of Lake Odessa, died Thursday at Pennock 
Hospital.

He was born Aug. 18, 1905 in McGoffen, Kentucky, the son of Milton and Myrtle 
Perkins. 

He attended school in Kentucky.

He married Lydia Tackett in Kentucky; she preceded him in death in 1969

He married Lillian Binion on June 14, 1970 in Woodbury.

He worked int he coal mines of Kentucky for 26 years before moving to Sunfield  
1946. He was employed with Fisher Body in Lansing from 1946 to 1962 when he 
retired.

He moved to Woodbury in 1969.

He was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Lansing.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian; six sons, James of Lansing, Paul of Grand 
Ledge, Dewey Jr. of Ionia, Roy of Marion, N.C., J.D.of Holt and Mark of Grand 
Ledge; three daughters, Jessie Hogan of Portland, Evangelina Martinez of Grand 
Rapids, and Bobbie Shade of Woodbury; one step-daughter, Dot Wilson of Fordland, 
Missouri; one step-son, Richard Binion of Sierra Vista, Arizona; 37 
grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and 
great-great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Daisy Rice of Irwin,Tennessee; one 
half-brother, Kenneth Perkins of Marshall.

A sister, Sandra Carr, preceded him in death in December of 1987.

Funeral Service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake 
Odessa, the Rev.Duane Walter officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 
p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Koops Funeral Chapel.
