Dewey Perkins Jr. age 75, of Ionia, passed away November 21, 2006 in Ionia.  
He was born January 6, 1931 in Blue Diamond, Kentucky the son of Dewey and 
Lydia Perkins Sr.  He retired from General Tire after 30 years.  He was a 
member of North American Hunting Club and the NRA.

Dewey is survived by his loving wife Rhonda Perkins of Ionia; children, 
Roxanne and Denton Williams of Hastings, Sheila Perkins of Hastings, Michael 
Perkins of Ionia, Cheri Perkins of Battle Creek, Brad and Christina Perkins of 
Lake Odessa, Chad and Shannon Perkins of Lake Odessa; stepson, Carl Bowling of 
Ionia; stepdaughter, Candi Newton of Holt; brothers, James and Oline Perkins 
of Lansing, Roy Perkins of Lake Odessa, Mark Perkins of Florida; sisters, Van 
Martinez of Lake Odessa, Bobbie and Marvin Shade of Woodbury; thirteen 
grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 step great 
grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by both parents, 2 brothers and 2 
sisters.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Rev. Joe Robbe officiating.  The family will receive friends and 
relatives today from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
