Pneumonia was the cause of his death. Mr. Perrett came to America from England in 1870, and first worked for various farmers north of Portland. He then went to farming on his own account and by hard work made a success of it. He was married in 1874 and a widow and four children survive him. He was a member of the Collins church, having united with it in 1894. He was an honorable, upright man in all his dealings. Funeral services in his honor were conducted from the Collins church last Sunday by Rev. Stewart of Portland Baptist church. The capacity of the church was not sufficient to accommodate those who showed their appreciation of his worth by attending the last sad rites. Burial was made in Keefer cemetery.
