Margaret Viola Perrien, aged 95, of Ionia, passed away Oct. 16, 2009.

She was born Sept. 20, 1914 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of William and 
Katherine (Meyer) Annis. She married Wallace J. Perrien April 23, 1939.

Margaret spent many years in the Belding and Gratten Area. She was a Cub Scout 
Leader and volunteered at the hospital for many years. Margaret worked at 
Hafner Floral and Gambles Hardware in Ionia.

She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Wallace Perrien of Ionia; 
children Jean (Chet) Schneider of Houghton Lake and W. John (Mary) Perrien of 
Troutman, N.C.; Grandchildren Mark (Felicity) DeMartini, Susan DeMartini, 
Elizabeth DeMartini, Michael (Holly) DeMartini, John Daniel Perrien, Joseph 
Andrew Perrien, Gregory Schneider, Karl Schneider and Theresa Schneider and 12 
great grandchildren. 

Margaret was preceded in death by 1 twin brother John Knowlton and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Monday, at 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The 
family will receive friends and relatives Sunday 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home. 
In lieu of flowers you may make memorial contributions to the Ionia Area
