Simon “Si” Charles Perron Jr., 65, of Belding, died Monday afternoon, Dec. 15,
2008, at Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.  Si was born July 6, 1943, in
Charlevoix, the son of Simon C. Sr. and Hilda Van Zant Perron.  He proudly
served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy.  He had
worked at Attwood in Lowell.

Si is survived by his wife, Linda Perron; children, Angela and Daniel Kent of
Sydney, Lynette and Aaron Heintzelman, Bill Main III, all of Belding;
grandchildren, KayLea Cardosa, Billy Main IV, Harley Heintzelman, Amber Kent,
Daniel Kent III; great-grandchildren, Candice Cardosa, Jordan Cardosa; and
brothers and sisters, Eva and James DeJonge of Mancelona, Leon and Celeste
Perron, David and Sandy Perron, John and Paula Perron, Sherrie and Wayne
Harthorn, all of Charlevoix.  Si was preceded in death by his parents; three
sisters, Shirley, Anna Marie, Judy Ann; and brother, Edward.

Funeral and committal services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Johnson-Feuerstein
Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating.  Military honors will
be provided by VFW Post 4406 of Belding.  Interment will be in Fort Custer
National Cemetery, Augusta.  Visitation will be one hour before the service.
