Margaret Irvine Perrone, age 95, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008 in 
Ludington, Mich. at Autumn Winds.  She was born on Sept. 6, 1912 in Detroit, 
the daughter of Garrett and Clara (Droud) Irvine.  Margaret, who lived in 
Ionia, Mich. from 1934 until 2005, resided in Ludington with her son Dominic 
Joseph Perrone III and his wife Susan.  For many years Margaret, along with 
her husband Dominic Joseph Perrone Jr., operated Perrone’s Store at the corner 
of Kidd St. and Main St. in Ionia.  

Margaret was preceded in death by her son Robert Perrone in 2004.  She is 
survived by her children, Dominic Joseph Perrone III (Susan) of Ludington, 
William Perrone (Mary) of Santa Clara, Calif., Michael Perrone of Sacramento, 
Calif. and Rosemary Perrone (wife of late son Robert) of Ionia; grandchildren, 
Elizabeth (Steven) Gillengerten of Lansing, Dominic Joseph (Jessica Perrone IV 
of Okemos, Rob (Dianna) Perrone of Muir, Riley (Shawn) Perrone of Saranac and 
Ryan Perrone of Chicago, Ill.  Margaret was the proud great-grandmother of 
eight great-grandchildren, Eloise, Grace and Henry Gillengerten; Natalia and 
Dominic Joseph Perrone V and Adriana, Tristen and Samantha Perrone.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 24, 1 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home 
in Ionia with Reverend Den Slattery of the LeValley United Methodist Church 
officiating.  Interment will take place in Leesburg, Ind.  The family will 
receive friends and relatives Thursday 12 p.m. until time of service at the 
funeral home.  Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions in Margaret’s 
name to the charity of choice.
