Robert Perry, 76, of Saranac died Nov. 12, 1997 in Ann Arbor.

He was born May 15, 1921 in Grand Rapids, the son of Medrick and Elizabeth 
Perry. He was a WWII veteran. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. 
He was a member of the American Legion of Saranac and the Saranac VFW Post. He 
married Eileen Carhart in England at St. Culthbert Catholic Church in Aug. 1945.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen Perry of Saranac; six sons, James (Carol) 
Perry of Sheridan, Richard (Jill) Perry of Saranac, Robert II (Cindy) Perry of 
Saranac, John (Janice) Perry of Sheridan, William (Lynn) Perry of Stanton and 
Paul (Lisa) Perry of Lowell; one daughter, Anna-Maria (Mark) Herrington of 
Saranac; one sister, Eileen (Clarence) of Grand Rapids; 19 grandchildren and 8 
great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic 
Church with Rev. Norbert Leyrita celebrant. Visitation will be Friday from 2 
p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac where a 
rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. 

Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to the Saranac VFW.
