RUTH J. PERRY
Ruth J. Perry, 89, of Ionia and formerly of Burr Oak, passed away Tuesday, March 
15, 2016 at Heartland Health Care Center in Ionia, Michigan.

Ruth was born Sept. 20, 1926 in Burr Oak a daughter to the late John C. and 
Louise B. (Modert) Baumeister.

Ruth grew up in Burr Oak, graduating from Burr Oak high School with the class of 
1943, she had also lived in Bronson, Colon and moved to Ionia in 1957.

On May 22, 1946 she married Keith E.Perry in Burr Oak. He preceded her in death 
in June of 1974.

Ruth was a homemaker and a member of the St. John's Lutheran church in Ionia.

She is survived by her son Wayne K. Perry of Ionia; two grandsons, Jason(Angela) 
Perry and Nicholas (Kelly) Perry of Ionia; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-
law Maxine Baumeister of Burr Oak; brother-in-law Elmer Saddison of Florida; and 
several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Kathleen Perry; brother George 
W. Baumeister; and sister Kathryn Saddison.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, March 18, 2016 for 10 
to 11 a.m. at the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon. Funeral services 
celebrating the life of Ruth J.Perry will then be held at 11 a.m. from the 
funeral home with Pastor Kurt Kuhlmann officiating. Burial will follow at the 
Burr Oak township Cemetery in Burr Oak. If desired the family suggest memorials 
be made in memory of Ruth to the Ionia St. John's Lutheran Church. Envelopes 
will be available at the funeral home.
