September 11, 2025 Excerpts from Saranac Obituary CHARLOTT SUSAN PERRY Died Monday, September 8, 2025- age 87. Born May 2, 1938 daughter of Leo & Lela Wheelock. Charlott was the third of 6 children & raised in Saranac. She was the salutatorian of her high School class. Married Marvin Kimball in 1958 & had two daughters, Ruth & Elaine. Worked for Newell Manufacturing Company in Lowell as a press operator & retired at age of 65. After retirement, she settled in Ionia & stayed involved in her community, where she tutored adults in reading,& worked in classrooms as a foster grandmother. She developed her artistic talents in classes in her community, painting mainly in acrylic & watercolor. Member of Mid-Michigan Word Gathers of Ionia County.She enjoyed crocheting & made many Afghans for nieces, nephews & grandchildren. She cherished the Free Methodist Church of her childhood & embraced later years by First United Methodist Church in Ionia & Ginter Park United Methodist Church in Richmond, Virginia. Survived by her sisters, Harriet Davenport & Anna Niemela, brother-in-law, Arnold Kimball; brother David Wheelock (Jan), sister-in-law, Evelyn Wheelock; daughters, Ruth Plott (George) & Elaine Dollarhite, 7 grandchildren, great- grandchildren , Nieces & Nehews & their families. Preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Kimball, sons-in-law,Alan Walton & Stephen Dollarhite, brother-in-law,Lewis Niemela, sister-in-law, Julie Wheelock, sister, Dorothy Kimball & her brother, Daniel Wheelock. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, September 15, 2025 at the Saranac Free Methodist church. Visitation will take place one hour prior tot he funeral service(1PM02PM).
