It was on Sunday, December 1, that Mr. Clement was taken ill with severe chills. His ailment soon developed into pneumonia. Several physicians and a Grand Rapids specialist attended him. Mr. Clement has been in the employ of the Baker meat market for a number of years. At one time he conducted the Clement bakery, together with his brother, George Clement, now of Detroit. Mr. Clement would have celebrated his sixteenth wedding anniversary last Monday. He is survived by his widow and one daughter, Marie, 15, and three brothers, George of Detroit, Charles of El Paso, and Edward of Wayemga. He was a member of the Ionia lodge, No. 48, B. P. O. E. The Rev. J. H. Green, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, conducted the services. A large number of friends and relatives of the deceased gathered.
