"Pete" Peterman, 89, of Belding and Orleans, died January 19, 2008 at his home. Pete was born on October 26, 1918 in Gowen, the third child of Andrew and Harriet Haman Peterman. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 203 of Belding and the AmVets. After the war, Pete built a gas station, garage and body shop called Peterman's Sales and Service on M-44 near Orleans. He was married on December 20. 1941 in Dickerson, Texas to Hazel Belle McClow and she preceded him in death in 1979. Pete was also preceded by his parents; stepmother, Edna; his sister, Gertrude; his brother Clair; sister-in-law Minne Peterman and brothers-in-law, Peter Kammers, Edwin Sovereign Jr. and H.
