Lake Odessa Wave  
          LORA L (BUSKIRK) PETERS
   LAKE ODESSA -- Lora L. (Buskirk) Peters, 85, 336 Donna Drive, Lake Odessa, died
May 12 in Pennock Hospital.
   She was born Aug. 20, 1896 in Hopkins Township to Clinton and Ada Rantz Buskirk,
and attended Otsego Schools and Ferris Institute.
   She married Cornelius Peters, who preceded her in death in 1969.
   She worked as a bookkeeper for Gilmore Bros. in Kalamazoo and was a member of the
Lakewood United Methodist Church, the Salvation Army and the Blue Star Mothers.
   Survivors include one daughter, Norma Peters of Lake Odessa, one son and two
daughters-in-law.  Herbert and Marjorie Peters of Ferndale and Barbara Peters of Lansing;  
nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
   One son, Stanley, died in January.
   Funeral services were Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Pickens-Koops Funeral Home in
Lake Odessa, with the Rev. James Hulett officiating.
   Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery.
