The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, February 1, 1972

William Peterson, 68, died early Saturday evening at 441 State.  He was born 
in 1903 the son of Ezra and Ellen Maddox Peterson and lived in Ionia area most 
of his life.  He was employed as an industrial painter.

Surviving are a son, Donald Austin of Greenville; four grandchildren; three 
sisters, Mrs. Cora Ford of Warren, Mrs. Maggie Showers of Ionia and Mrs. 
Dorothy Stapleton of Belding.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home.  
Rev. Theodore Forbes will officiate and interment will be at Easton cemetery.

Bearers will be Robert and Earl Stapleton, Dorman Mason and Richard Nelson.
