Ionia Sentinel Standard, 26 Nov 1957

Lifelong resident of Easton township and oldest resident of that area, Mrs.
Maude Temple Peterson, 80, died at the Ionia County memorial hospital Monday
afternoon after several years illness.  She had been a patient at the hospital
since Thursday morning.

Born January 19, 1877 in Easton township, her parents were Dwight Delano and
Mary (Leach) Delano.  She was married October 25, 1896 to Lewis C. Temple and he
died in 1936.  On November 9, 1945, she remarried to Charlie Peterson and he
died in 1946.

Surviving are one son, O. Eugene Temple of Grandville and two grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. May Meyers of Silverton, Oregon;
Mrs. Flora Delano of Glendale, Calif., and Mrs. Grace Billings of Long Beach,
Calif.

Funeral service will be conducted at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home Saturday at
2:30 p.m.  The Rev. Floyd Emshwiller, pastor of the First Christian church, will
officiate.  Interment will be in Easton cemetery.
