The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 14, 1932
George Godfrey Peterson, a native of Denmark, but a resident of Ionia county 
for 21 years, died at his home northeast of Ionia Sunday afternoon following 
an illness of three years.  The body is at the home in Ionia township.  

The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. A. L. Bingaman Wednesday 
afternoon at 1:30 at the home and 2 o’clock at the Evangelical church.  Burial 
will be in Highland Park cemetery.

Mr. Peterson came to American in 1887, locating at the time in Chicago, coming 
from Chicago to Ionia county.
