Earl Peterson, aged 79, of Belding, passed away March 27, 2009.

He was born Nov. 7, 1929. The son of Julius and Leona (Peasley) Peterson. He 
married Beverly Helmer Dec. 1, 1950 in Angola, Ind. Earl graduated from Ionia 
High School. He was a lifelong farmer. Earl retired from General Tire in 1992.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Beverly Peterson of Belding; 
children, Earl Peterson, Jr. of Ionia and Gary (Donna) Peterson of Muskegon; 
grandchildren, Glen and Amy, and Tim and Kamela Peterson of Sturgis, Lydia and 
Amy and brother Walter (Velma) Peterson of Belding.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. at Shiloh Community Church with Rev. 
Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment at Easton Cemetery. The family will 
receive friends and relatives 4 – 7 p.m. Sunday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. 
In lieu of flowers you may make memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s 
Association or Shiloh Community Church. Online condolences may be made at
