She was born in Denmark December 23, 1877, the daughter of Anders and Dorothea Bradensen. She moved to Dwight, Ill., in 1900. They came to Ionia in 1910 and they settled on a farm in Orleans township. She lived there until about 15 months ago when she moved to 218 King Street. Charles Peterson died April 20, 1947. She was a member of the Evangelical U. B. church. Surviving are six daughters, Miss Ilese Peterson of South Haven, Mrs. Dan Bowerman of Orleans, Mrs. Raymond Burrows and Mrs. Frank Phelps of Ionia, Miss Esther Peterson of Holland and Mrs. Leland Gabe of Grand Rapids; four sons, Andrew and John of Ionia, Raymond of Belding and Edward of Orleans; 24 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Frank Stevens of California; and a brother, George Bradensen, of Portland, Ore. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 1 at 2:30 pm from the Evangelical U.B. church. Interment will be in the family lot, Higbee cemetery. The body will be at the Boynton Funeral until time for the service. The Rev. A. L. Bingaman of Elvert and the Rev. R. Kuehn will officiate.
