Ionia Sentinel Standard, 6 Nov 1936

Mrs. Amanda Peterson, 54, died Thursday night at Blodgett hospital in Grand
Rapids after an illness of a week.

She leaves her husband, Tony, two daughters, Mrs. Harold Nielson and Mrs. Gerrit
Nyland of Ionia; and three sons, Tom of Detroit and Karl and Fred of Ionia.

She was born in Denmark in 1883 and came to this country when she was 23 years
old.  She lived in Cincinnati, O., for the first six years, and then moved to
Ionia where she lived for the remainder of her life.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, November 9, at the Bradley
funeral home.

[Transcriber’s note:  There are notations on the obituary card that she was born
April 8, 1883, the daughter of Peter Neilson, and was buried in Oak Hill
Cemetery.]
